Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I watch this?
Exclusively on the DeepBlueInk YouTube channel, starting January 3rd!
How long will the episodes be?
Around six minutes each! Shortest is about 4 mins, longest will be about 8 mins.
Who wrote the script/Music/Directed/Animated/Character rigs?
Me!
I created everything alone except for the voice acting (I also kind of voice act in this) and subtitles (by @thezachman1)! But worth saying that the VAs adlibbed some very funny lines too.
How did you make this pretty much all by yourself?
I had to go to the doctors recently because I hurt my wrist from working too much. I don’t know if that answers the question. I’m also very tired for some reason.
How did you get so many amazing voice actors on this project?
The short answer is that I paid them!
The long answer is Barrett Leddy (voice of Kip) helped me go about searching for VAs the proper way. Auditions. Job adverts. That kind of thing. And some of the cast members, I reached out to directly asking if they were interested, and they were! Some of the cast very kindly declined payment, so their pay went towards other costs/other VAs.
Also fuck AI voice acting. Pay people.
How long did this take to make?
I started actively writing this in November last year (2023) and will finish the final episode last January. (Yes, it’s still in production oops)
Are you looking for more voice actors/writers/animators/etc?
Not right now, but maybe soon if these five episodes do well! Feel free to send a pre-emptive email introducing yourself to deepblueink@outlook.com but I’ve got everything I need for these five episodes at the very least!
Why did you make this? (Why now???)
I’ve always wanted to create a show from scratch and I finally stopped putting it off! I think the whole thing started with Barrett saying we should collaborate on something at some point after we both appeared on a Drawfee stream. I think that got me thinking about what I could make that would justify having a very funny professional voice actor. Here we are!
How would you feel about people doing reaction videos to your content?
As long as the reactions genuinely add something, aren't needlessly mean about it and link the original content properly, I don’t see a problem with it. Maybe my opinion will change though.
How can I support this?
I’ve got a Patreon! $1 tier gets you the same as any other tier. Donations are massively appreciated.
Merch?
Yeah, soon :)
